Clinic

Supporting the medical needs of L’Allemand

In July 2016 we were able to start construction on a medical clinic at L’Allemand. This need was brought to the forefront when one of our little girls, Jennyka, died from a fever in May of 2015. With no medical facility in the area, the family had to take her down the mountain to the city, where they sent her home because she was unable to pay for the care. She died that same night from an unknown fever. In February 2017, the construction was complete and the Clinic of L’Allemand officially began. Currently, we have a Haitian nurse who comes to serve the kids and the community three days a week.

In 2022, construction will expand to include a private exam room to allow weekly doctor visits. The clinic will soon be equipped and staffed to handle lab work.  In June, 2021, the clinic and school were equipped with solar power.
